The collection consists of minutes, photocopies of news clippings, and correspondence concerning the commissioning of a sculpture from the Berry elm, a tree in Northwood, NH which was the largest in the state. The dying tree was taken down in 1983 and a portion of it was given to the NH Commission on the Arts. NHCA commissioned artist William Eaves to create a commemorative sculpture which is located at the New Hampshire State Library in Concord.
